Hello members of the 11th LD Democrats, we need your help!  We have a couple of open positions within the leadership team of the district.

  • Program Director: We need a program director to help set up quality speakers / topics / discussions within the group.

Both of these positions would allow you to contribute directly to the leadership board of the organization.  If you have any desire to fill one of these spots, please email me (vicechair@11thlddems.org).  Thanks!

Eligibility:  Any person who was a voting member in good standing of the organization, whether Precinct Committee Officer or not, is eligible.

Mayoral movies at Northwest Film Forum

I’m reaching out to the 11th District Democrats in connection with upcoming films at Northwest Film Forum, which we think may be of interest to your colleagues and networks.

Next week we open our Mayoral Movies film series, which presents films selected by current candidates for Seattle mayor. The candidates have chosen these films to illustrate their personal political style and philosophy, and will be in attendance to host Q&As following each screening.

City Councilman Bruce Harrell will be presenting his screening of PAPILLON on July 7, more information here: http://www.nwfilmforum.org/live/page/calendar/2756

Peter Steinbrueck will be presenting his screening of BUDDY on July 8, more information here: http://www.nwfilmforum.org/live/page/calendar/2758

The entire film series runs July 5 – 8 at Northwest Film Forum on Capitol Hill; more information is available online: http://www.nwfilmforum.org/live/page/series/2716

We’d be grateful for your time sharing information about these film events with your colleagues and communities, and hope you can join us for the screenings.

As members of a free and democratic society, We King County Democrats are proud to
support equality – be it gender, race, religion, ethnic, marriage, sexual
orientation, or economic. We do this in a variety of ways: sponsor legislation to
insure these freedoms are safeguarded, support candidates who espouse these same
values, and walk the path side-by-side with our LGBT neighbors, friends, colleagues,
and family.

So, please put the date on your calendar, invite your elected officials and endorsed
candidates to join with us at the Parade. Look for our Banner – and join us as we
proudly “walk the walk” of equality and freedom on Sunday, June 30, in downtown
Seattle.

Advertising space on the 11th LD Website

peter_steinbrueck_mayor_1
Yes, your campaign or business can purchase advertising space on the 11th LD’s Website.  Our rates are pretty reasonable and we offer exposure to plenty of viewers every month.  A simple ad buy will get you an advertisement on the website and our newsletter for a month.

Recently, Peter Steinbrueck’s campaign for Mayor of Seattle purchased an ad (which you see in this post).  You can too.  If you’re with a campaign and you’ve received an endorsement, check out the details:
